Mark van Hees, Vice-President and Portfolio Manager, is a Partner at Collaborative Wealth Partners. In a collaborative effort with clients, he first focuses on helping you understand your own behavior around money, savings and investing. Then, along with the Collaborative team, he can better help you reach your long term personal financial goals. His over two decades of industry experience enable him to identify investor’s personal objectives and then match those individual goals with the industry’s best private wealth management investment counselors to create customized portfolios. Mark and the collaborative team also work closely alongside specialized financial planners to offer clients a personalized comprehensive financial plan custom tailored to their own retirement goals. 

Mark has a BA with an Economics major and Commerce minor from the University of Calgary. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a discretionary Portfolio Manager. Mark also has his Series 7 U.S. securities license. Along with his two children, he embraces the active outdoor lifestyle of the Okanagan, snowboarding in the winter and hiking year round up and down the valley. Mark was also the co-founder of Solium Capital in 1999. Solium was acquired by Morgan Stanley in 2019 in an all cash deal for over C$1Bllion. 

Arno Richter

Investment Advisor

With 20 years of industry experience, Arno Richter, Investment Advisor and Partner, is responsible for, investment strategy, investment manager selection process and idea generation. Arno’s deep market knowledge, acquired on institutional desks where he spent a decade seeking out the best stocks to present to brokers, enables the team to identify the most promising investment opportunities for clients.

Arno has a BA in Geography from Simon Fraser University, and is licensed as a financial advisor. In his free time he coaches his three kids sports teams, and loves to ski and travel.

Kimi Klettke

Investment Advisor Assistant

Kimi is the Business Development Associate and a licensed Investment Advisor Assistant who joined Canaccord Genuity in 2009. Since joining, she is instrumental in processing and confirming client transactions, managing approval of individual and corporate clients for account setup, and maintaining client relations. She specializes in preparing private group operations and high service level trades, while also ensuring clients receive efficient, accurate, and friendly service.

Kimi has a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She has a Certificate in Advanced Investment Strategies, has completed the Canadian Securities Course, and is working towards her Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

She is influential in the workplace and uses her optimistic attitude to motivate others to work hard and succeed. She is inspired daily by her husband and two children and is an enthusiastic runner, avid traveler and enjoys camping and hiking.

Jill Watson

Investment Advisor Assistant

Jill is a licensed Investment Advisor Assistant and has held various roles in the Financial Services industry since 2008. She is responsible for the daily account administrations such as opening client accounts, investment transfers and trading, and client inquiries for Canadian and US citizens. Jill enjoys the day-to-day interactions with clients and prides herself on providing timely and accurate service. 

Jill earned her Bachelor of Arts from Vancouver Island University and has completed numerous industry related courses. She moved to the Okanagan in 2012, where she is busy raising her two sons. When she is not working, Jill enjoys playing soccer, traveling abroad, and spending time with family and friends.

Laura Rizvi

Administrative Assistant

Laura is an administrative assistant who joined Canaccord Genuity in 2021. Before relocating to Kelowna, she spent most of her upbringing in Vancouver, B.C. Laura graduated from Simon Fraser University as a Psychology major with a minor in Education and a focus on Learning and Developmental Disabilities. At Canaccord Genuity, Laura responds effectively to all inquiries from clients and employees and is responsible for maintaining accurate records of client documents and provide day-to-day administrative support to the Investment Advisors. She Is an excellent part of the team at Canaccord Genuity and takes on new challenges to learn and grow both professionally and personally.


Laura loves meeting and connecting with new people, she has a strong passion for helping others to achieve their goals. She is enjoying all that the Okanagan lifestyle entails; such as exploring the hiking trails and viewpoints that Kelowna is famous for. Laura is extremely active, is always eager to try new activities, and is forever willing to participate in any intense workout challenge thrown her way.
